- Complete Knowledge Based Bridging Course Carrying on from Stage 2 Industrial Hydraulics
- NFPC Engineers mark your assignments
- Practice all of the tasks necessary to meet the CETOP Level 2 recommendations
- Be tested to carry out the Practical Tasks to meet the required standard
- Revise for the Written Examination you are about to take
- Sit the written Examination accordingly
Who should take this course?
Level 2 (Second Line)- Technicians involved in the maintenance and management of systems employing Hydraulics and Control. This person would perform a variety of activities requiring specific levels of technical knowledge and associated skills. Work may be non-routine involving interpretation and use of simple diagnostics and the ability to make a positive response to deviations. This person would be a member of a team.
Course Objectives
Knowledge Based:
- To ensure candidates have a better overall knowledge and understanding of hydraulic system components, their function, operation and control and how they perform a working circuit
- Improve communication levels and overall skills to better manage and maintain machines employing hydraulic systems whilst following safe working practices at all times
- Gain a competence-based qualification aligned to CETOP educational recommendations Level 2
To obtain this qualification you must successfully complete the following:
- Written assignment prior to attending the course
- Written Examination of 2 hours duration with a pass mark of 60%
- Practical Task Assessments on a one to one basis
Practical task assessments (one-to-one basis):
- Task 1: Carrying out a routine maintenance inspection on a hydraulic system using a prepared checklist, including topping-up hydraulic oil
- Task 2: Carrying out a pump commissioning exercise, including writing a procedure
- Task 3: Replacing a 4/3-way solenoid operated DCV on a live system, including safe isolation and re-commissioning
- Task 4: Building a hydraulic circuit for hydraulic sequencing and the setting up pressure controls. Plus a fault finding exercise on the completed circuit

No, lunch isn’t provided however we will be providing light refreshments on the day. There are a number of supermarkets nearby along with fast food outlets for lunch.
