The National Fluid Power Centre (NFPC) is seeking to expand its team of expert Training Engineers and is inviting applications from individuals with extensive technical knowledge, skills, and industry experience who are passionate about supporting the learning and development of the UK workforce.
The RoleAs an NFPC Training Engineer, you will play a key role in:
- Delivering engaging technical lectures alongside practical training and skills development
- Designing and developing new training programmes and resources
- Delivering Competence Based Qualifications and carrying out candidate assessments
- Supporting customers through site visits, training needs analysis, and on-site course delivery when required
- Managing and developing centre resources in line with our QMS standards
You must have the following skills and experience to apply for this role:
- Work based experience/application knowledge involving Fluid Power Systems
- Experience associated in working on and maintaining Mobile Plant involving Fluid Power OR
- Experience associated in working on and maintaining Industrial Plant involving Fluid Power
- Been involved in fault diagnosis and rectification relating to Fluid Power Systems
- The ability to recognise Hydraulic Symbols, name and function
- The ability to read and interpret a basic Hydraulic Circuit and recognise the symbols
- The ability to read and interpret a basic Electrical Circuit and recognise the symbols
- Knowledge of the Fluid Power Supply Chain (Specific Companies)
- Communication skills/experience in presenting (Further training will be available)
- An extensive range of Practical Skills relating to the maintenance of systems involving Fluid Power
- A base within reasonable travelling distance of the NFPC (ideally a maximum of 1 hour’s travel)
