Course Details
The NFPC is a BFPA Certified CETOP Education Centre and is currently the only training centre in the UK which is actively delivering the Level 3 Hydraulics CETOP/BFPA MH3 Hydraulics competence-based qualification.
Key course information:
• This is a very demanding course containing high practical content
• 12-month course
• You can enrol on the CETOP Level 3 Programme in July each year to start your course on the 1st August, and you will be given 12 months to complete this qualification
• Inductions will take place online at an agreed date and time in July with the Director of the NFPC
• You will be committed to completing and submitting 20 written assignments to your tutor, attending the NFPC for up to 5 days to carry out practical assessments, and attending the NFPC to complete a 2.5hours written examination with a pass mark of 70%
• We offer the written examination in August each year, you will receive a planner showing examination dates and those allocated for practical task assessment here at the NFPC
• Practical assessment days run from 9am – 5pm
• Candidates will receive a comprehensive set of course notes, refreshments and a BFPA/CETOP Certificate
Who should take this course?
Level 3 (Third Line) Technicians and Engineers involved in the maintenance and management of integrated systems employing hydraulics and associated controls.
This person would be involved in both broad and complex engineering activities involving integrated systems, requiring technical decision making concerned with specifications, resources and work processes.
This person will have organisational responsibilities and will be involved in planning, fault-finding, rectification and prevention. The role will involve supervisory responsibilities involving the quality of work from other team members, thereby meeting both standards and deadlines.

• To develop your planning and preparatory skills, use of technical information and specifications
• To develop your ability to pro-actively maintain and manage hydraulic systems, and associated controls and to carry out logical fault-finding as and when necessary
• To have an appreciation of the electrical and electronic controls associated with modern hydraulic systems
• To have an overview of Functional Safety and its implications in Fluid Power systems
• Gain a competence based qualification aligned to CETOP educational recommendations

No, lunch isn’t provided however we will be providing light refreshments on the day. There are a number of supermarkets nearby along with fast food outlets for lunch.
