  • 2 day course
  • 9am – 4pm or as arranged by your tutor
  • Training at the NFPC will consist of Day 1 technical lecture and Day 2 practical training
  • Candidates will receive a comprehensive set of course notes, light refreshments, and certificate of attendance
  • Maximum Group Size = 8

Who should take this course?

This course is designed to provide a refresher for existing technical staff, a start point for non-technical staff and those involved with Pneumatics at the early stage of their working careers. This will provide a general understanding of the use of Pneumatics and the components parts involved. During this course you will be involved in the construction of a simple pneumatic system on Day 2.Knowledge gained is at a basic level and great emphasis will be placed on safe working practices.This course will also improve communication levels as terminology is better understood.

Course Objectives

Skills Based

During the practical section of this course candidates will engage in and apply the following skills:

  • Reading and interpreting basic symbol circuit diagrams
  • Building basic circuits using Single Acting and Double Acting cylinders
  • Building circuits to investigate flow and direction control

Knowledge Based

On completion of this course candidates will:

  • Be able to describe the meaning of Pneumatics
  • Know the Health and Safety issues with working with Pneumatics
  • Have a basic understanding in how Pneumatics work
  • Know the Basic Constructions of a Compressed Air system
  • Be able to read Basic Pneumatic Drawings and Symbols
  • Be able to describe how to maintain a Pneumatic System

No, lunch isn’t provided however we will be providing light refreshments on the day. There are a number of supermarkets nearby along with fast food outlets for lunch.
