- 2-day course
- Course times are 8:45am – 4pm or as arranged by your tutor (please be on site at the NFPC for 8:30am)
- Candidates will receive a comprehensive set of course notes, light refreshments and certificate of attendance including the range of competences acquired
- Training at the NFPC will consist of Day 1 technical lecture and Day 2 practical training and testing
- Additional dates on request will be considered
Who should take this course?
Developed for staff involved in the maintenance and management of hydraulic systems involving the use of accumulators whose duties include inspection, checking performance and pre-charging as necessary and changing bladders.
Course Objectives
Skills Based
During the practical section of this course candidates will engage in and apply the following skills and be assessed by NFPC Training Engineers:
- Inspection of Accumulators
- Checking pre-charge Nitrogen pressures
- Setting up and carrying our pre-charging procedures
- Using correct tools and equipment
- Carrying out a bladder change following correct procedures
- Completing a written report of all cations taken
Knowledge Based
On completion of this course candidates will:
- Know the different types of accumulators in common use, together with their operating, principles, characteristics and applications
- Know the correct procedures for examining / inspection of accumulators
- Understand the risks and dangers during installation, examination and maintenance of accumulators
- Identify regulations appertaining to accumulator examination and testing (brief)
- Perform a routine inspection and charging of an accumulator pre-charge pressure

No, lunch isn’t provided however we will be providing light refreshments on the day. There are a number of supermarkets nearby along with fast food outlets for lunch.
