Stage 1 Power Pneumatics or equivalent.
Course Aims:
On completion of this course candidates will:
Have an insight into the operation, application and maintenance of power pneumatic systems and their controls
Have a thorough understanding of basic pneumatic principles

Properties of compressed air
Dangers associated with compressed air systems
Planning a compressed air installation
Types of compressors
Receivers and dryers
Treatment of compressed air at the point of use
Pneumatic symbols, reading and interpreting schematic diagrams
Electrical control of pneumatic circuits
Logic circuit building exercises involving electro-pneumatic switching devices
Relay logic and PLC control
Leading to:
Certificate of attendance.
This course provides an excellent foundation for those wishing to gain a BFPA qualification.
