Stage 1 Power Pneumatics

Who is it for:

This course has been designed for technical staff involved in the maintenance and management of pneumatic systems. This course is a pre-requisite to our Stage 2 Electro-pneumatics course.

No entry requirements necessary.

Course Aims:

On completion of this course candidates will:

• Have an insight into the operation, application and maintenance of powerpneumatic systems and their controls
• Have a thorough understanding of basic pneumatic principles
• Develop diagnostic skills and a logical approach to fault finding
• Have increased confidence and competence through hands-on experience

Course Outline:

• Properties of compressed air
• Dangers associated with compressed air systems
• Planning a compressed air installation
• Types of compressors
• Receivers and dryers
• Treatment of compressed air at the point of use
• Pneumatic symbols; reading and interpreting schematic diagrams

Leading to:

Certificate of attendance.

Stage 2 Electro-pneumatics.

This course provides an excellent foundation for those wishing to gain a CETOP qualification.
